Audio and Gabcast/Gizmo

I downloaded Gabcast but there was no place where I could 'phone'. I then downloaded Gizmo Project and tried to connect to 'anything'. My broadband bandwidth is so poor I could not hear the prompts. It seems that the prompts in Gabcast are spoken in American or Canadian or computer robot speak which I can not understand. Odeo is great but this - well, I gave up! I think audio is fine but use must be infomed by the technology which works in a particular environment. I will try during the weekend when the available bandwidth should be better.

Dear Pam,
Same for me - no telephone number to Gabcast in Japan. Given the choices of internationally to the USA, etc or some electronic voice - as you found, I opted for dialling into London, from my home of course, not the college !
And opening up html, copying and pasting, seems to be a really cumbersome way to use the telephone !!! Are we going forwards or backwards in how and when to use which available technology ?
All Best Wishes
Paul
